Virginia Breweries

Brewery List

Blue Mountain Brewery

Nelson County’s first brewery (2007) is a local and visitor favorite. The Afton Brewpub, with its great Blue Ridge views, includes a full-service restaurant. Blue Mountain offers a full range of permanent and seasonal beers, all of which are brewed, bottled canned or kegged in either onsite, or in their Barrel House, located in just a short drive south in Arrington. Blue Mountain has their own hop fields, both in Afton and Arrington. Beers are available for tastings in a “flight” of sample glasses, and for purchase by the glass, growler, or bottle and can.

In addition to their lineup of great beer, you’ll often find live music and a food truck on site. Closed Mondays.
