Poker Nights and Improv Comedy, every Monday night: Poker and improvisational comedy go together seamlessly, don’t they? Especially if you throw some Virginia beer into the mix. Every week, Crozet’s Pro Re Nata Farm Brewery hosts these enjoyable activities, complete with hand-crafted ales and lagers, their Littlejohn's food truck, and the chance to win a prize or two.
Starr Hill Brewery Cheers for Charity Kickoff, May 5: For every beer sold in the Starr Hill tap room, $1 will go towards a local non-profit organization, which has included places like the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank, Habitat for Humanity, and Relay for Life at UVA. So not only are you getting some of Virginia’s finest craft brew, but you’re also contributing to a selected local group that’s making a difference in the area! During the month of May, that local group is the much-loved independent radio station WNRN.
3rd Annual Crozet Car Show, May 21: Between the live music, the fun prizes, and of course, the array of vehicles displayed, the Crozet Car Show looks to be one fun event. From 9:00am-noon on May 21, 2016, join fellow car enthusiasts at the Old Trail Village, “a Walkable Urban Village with the quality of life found in the Countryside” for this car-themed community event.
(Side Note: Wondering how Crozet got its name? The town is named after Claudius Crozet, one of the founder of the Virginia Military Institute, who also helped plan and construct canals, bridges, turnpikes and railroads in Virginia. He’s sometimes known as the “Pathfinder of the Blue Ridge,” which is a pretty apt name!)
