Our 2017 New Year’s Resolutions
New Years is only a few days away and like you, we’ve started thinking about the ways we can continue to grow and change in 2017. It’s been a whirlwind of a year, and as we reflect on the people we met this year and the things we did, we can only hope 2017 is as good as 2016 was for us.
We jumped the gun a bit with our first resolution, which is to redo our website. The new version is already up and running. Check it out and let us know what you think. Many thanks to the great folks at Innkeepers Advantage for all the work they did to make it happen. We love the new sleek look that highlights the silhouette of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
One big goal for the year is to remodel and update our innkeepers’ quarters. We’re going to combine two smaller bedrooms into one master suite, reconfigure and update the bathroom, and put in new hardwood flooring. It’s going to be a lot of work, but we’re anxious to get started. We figure that after 14 years here, it’s time for a change.
The last of our resolutions is to complete our landscaping and garden project. We’re hoping to put in a sitting area with a fire pit, where guests can relax after a full day of enjoying the area. We’ll be adding more trees and plants to give it a true garden setting. We love that our property is simple and timeless, nestled in the heart of the Blue Ridge, and we want our outdoor area to encapsulate this feel.
