Fridays After Five at Sprint Pavilion
Celebrate the end of a busy work week with the perfect pairing—live music in Charlottesville, and then a stay at Afton Mountain Bed & Breakfast! Fridays After Five is arguably the most popular annual concert series in Charlottesville, and it’s back again for 2016, running from April 15 to June 24: “The spring and summer schedule features local artists of myriad musical styles; there is something for everyone! Unwind Friday evenings at this fabulous and FREE Charlottesville institution.”
Let’s take a look at some of the upcoming musicians who will be sharing their talents at the Sprint Pavilion:
April 15: The Sally Rose Band, doo-wop inspired, honky tonk, also described as “sweet, girl power rock n roll with an edge”
April 22: Kendall Street Company, an eclectic mix of genres, including alternative, rock, indie, and ska. (Also, they oftentimes bring audience members onstage to sing with them!)
April 29: Michael Clem, acoustic bluegrass and folk rock.
May 6: Ban Caribe, a blend of Latin, Caribbean, Afro-Cuban, and rhythm and blues
May 13: We Are Star Children, adventure pop
May 20: Erin & the Wildfire, rock, blues, folk, and soul
May 27: The Chickenhead Blues Band, “Charlottesville's premiere boogie-woogie, up beat, rhythm and blues dance band.”

June 10: Indecision, blues-rock jam
June 17: Lord Nelson, rock that ranges from “slow burning, harmony laced anthems to back beat pulsing floor stompers.”
