Dine at Duner’s in Charlottesville, VA
Duner’s Restaurant just outside of Charlottesville, Virginia is fantastic little eatery that offers a unique dining experience, consistently fresh and delicious portions, and a rotating selection of food that is every locavore’s dream. Here are our three favorite aspect of this neighborhood bistro:
1. The Menu. It’s farm-fresh, it’s delectable, and it’s alternating daily. Part of the fun in dining at Duner’s is that you never know what to expect from day-to-day. One evening you may indulge in butternut squash tortellini while another night you may enjoy grilled tuna over spicy dry cured chorizo. From pasta to seafood, empanadas to soup and sandwiches, the variety is astounding. Click here to check out the daily offerings.
2. The Size. While some may see its smaller venue as a con, we view it as a pro. Duner’s is not an especially large establishment, which means that seating offers a sort of intimacy among staff and patrons. It’s a friendly casual atmosphere, and although you may have to wait a while for a table, it’s definitely worth the anticipation. (There are no reservations at Duner’s, but if you do end up waiting for a table, there’s a cozy area to sit and relax beside a fireplace.)
3. The Location. Less than 20 minutes from Afton Mountain B&B and 15 minutes from downtown Charlottesville, Duner’s is ideally located. After enjoying your meal, explore the downtown shops and sites in Charlottesville, then head back to Afton Mountain for a good night’s sleep and a hearty breakfast in the morning.
“Duner’s is without a doubt one of the finest restaurants in central Virginia. Its menu, which changes almost daily, features rich game meats, excellent seafood, and farm-fresh produce.” –Jed, Mas to Millers
