Check-In for a Good Cause!

How often do you “check in” to a location Facebook? Maybe you let your online friends know the last time you ate at a local restaurant, attended a sporting event, or visited a vacation destination. What if your small social media action could contribute to a larger cause?

We’ve partnered with an online business called Causely, which donates to charity on our behalf every time a Facebook user checks in at Afton Mountain Bed & Breakfast. Pretty simple, right? You can even check in each day you’re here for an extra contribution.

Causely donates exclusively to non-profit organizations and has already contributed more than $1.6 million dollars to their partners. This year’s partners have included the following:

- Soles4Souls (coats and shoes)
- Best Friends Animal Society (no-kill animal shelter)
- Watsi (sight-restoring surgery)
- The Autism Site (autism therapy)
- Vitamin Angels (pre-natal vitamins)
- H2OpenDoors (clean water)
- buildOn (bricks to build schools)
- Rescue Bank (food for shelter animals)

Want to be a part of this charitable organization? All it takes is a simple check-in! Next time you’re visiting Afton Mountain Bed & Breakfast, hop on your Facebook account, click the “Check In” icon, and start typing in the name of our inn. Our Facebook page will pop up, and all you have to do is click it, then click “publish,” and you’ve given a portion to one of the charities that Causely supports.
