From buying local ingredients for breakfast to our 30 solar panels, we pull our passion of sustainably enriching our community into every aspect of our business. That’s why we’re committed to supporting the local Blue Ridge Area Food Bank and Almost Home Pet Adoption Center near Lovingston.
We know you like to give back too, which is why we partner with Causely. Causely is an organization which allows businesses, customers, and charities have a symbiotic relationship. How does it work? Each month, Causely selects a highly effective charity to sponsor and helps businesses, like us, to engage customers by tying social media interactions to charitable giving. For every 10 check-ins we receive on our Facebook page, Causely donates to the charity of the month.
This month, Causely is partnering with Soles4Souls. Soles4Souls originally started as part of the relief effort of the 2004 Indian Ocean Tsunami by donating shoes. They still work in disaster relief efforts all over the world, but they’ve expanded their efforts to support impoverished communities year round. During their Soles4Summer event, Soles4Souls puts shoes on 10,000 children’s feet! This year marks the 3rd Annual Shoe Drive with Soles4Soles and Causely. For every 10 check-ins on our Facebook page during June, one pair of shoes will be given to someone in need.
