4 MORE Things We’re Thankful For Here at Afton Mountain B&B
November has arrived, and many people online are celebrating “30 Days of Thanks.” If we tried to write down 30 things we’re thankful for in one blog, it would probably turn into an entire novel, so we’ve narrowed it down a bit!
If you read and enjoyed last year’s blog “4 Things We’re Thankful For at Afton Mountain B&B,” then you already know we’re immensely grateful for our guests, beautiful Virginia, our dog Fritz, and our fellow innkeepers. So without further ado, here are 4 MORE things that we’re thankful for:
- Each other. Innkeeping is a mostly fun, and sometimes hectic experience. Regardless of where we are on the roller coaster, it’s much more enjoyable to be able to share it with someone close to us. We’re grateful to have been each other’s partner throughout this awesome journey.
- Our local businesses. Between our excellent wineries and craft breweries, restaurants, artists, and food suppliers, this area is ripe with local businesses that are not only fun to enjoy but also a great asset to our community! (And Small Business Saturday happens to be at the end of this month, so a lot of these businesses will be offering specials on Saturday, November 28!)
- Fall. There’s something almost magical about fall, isn’t there? The oppressive heat of summer eases, there’s a crisper smell in the air, and of course, the trees are beyond breathtaking with their autumn colors. We’re thankful to live in an area where we can view and breathe in the beauty of fall every year.
- Breakfast. Although it’s the second “B” in “B&B”, breakfast is not only the most important meal of the day, many times it’s the primary reason travelers choose to stay at a Bed & Breakfast. We’re very thankful to live in an area with an abundance of great local products that we can incorporate into what we create for our guests. Presenting an enjoyable morning meal for them is definitely a great way to start every day.
Happy 30 Days of Thanks from Afton Mountain Bed & Breakfast!
