The 2015 Charlottesville Idea House Tour
“Your home should be the most comfortable place you can imagine." --Bunny Williams
Interior decorating isn't usually the first reason an individual decides to pack up and head out for a bed & breakfast getaway. But when you have a local event like Southern Living's Idea House Tour, it certainly warrants a trip to Afton Mountain B&B. After all, at the end of a long evening of collecting decor ideas, learning the art from the experts of the trade, and examining all of the precisely decorated rooms, you're going to need a place to rest your head.
So, let's talk a bit about this upcoming Idea Tour: "Situated in the rolling hills of Charlottesville, Virginia, the 2015 Southern Living Idea House is located at Bundoran Farm...Renowned designer and Charlottesville-native Bunny Williams is working…to design the quintessential Virginia farmhouse, filled with hundreds of fresh ideas for decorating, architect and gardening."
From "elegant man cave" libraries to the juxtaposition of antique and modern furnishings, your tour is sure to send you home with a new aesthetic vision for your recent apartment rental, your soon-to-be-renovated house, or that one particular room that simply needs a little something extra.
A few more things to get you started:
- Tickets are $15/person and free to children 12 and under.
- Be sure to arrive no later than 3:00 p.m. to purchase your tickets, as the doors of the Idea House are locked at 4:00.
