OUTSIDE

SWIMMING POOL - If you visit us between Memorial Day and Labor Day, you'll have the opportunity to enjoy our 40-foot pool. It's a great way to cool off after a day in the sun, or a way to do some laps to burn off your breakfast. We also have lounge chairs on the pool deck for sun bathers who want to work on their tans. There are patio tables (with umbrellas) and chairs for those of you who might want to pick up lunch and enjoy it poolside.

PORCHES - For those of you who are always looking for ways to perfect the art of relaxation, we have our grand porches. On the front of the house, you can enjoy the six big rocking chairs while sipping on a glass of local wine. There's also an L-shaped porch on the upper story of the back of the house. It's a great place to take in a view of the mountains, or maybe spot some of the deer that live around our property.

INSIDE

WIRELESS INTERNET is available throughout the house for guest use. And if you want to leave your laptop at home, we have a desktop computer available for you in our living room so you can catch up on your e-mail.

TELEVISION - With all of the interesting sites and experiences in our area, we know you probably won't want to be sitting around watching TV. But just in case you don't want to miss an episode of your favorite show or want to watch your favorite team, we have a guest television in our Parlor which offers programming from Dish Network Satellite. We also have a selection of DVD movies for those times when you just want to stay in and relax.

FIRE PLACES – To add to the ambiance during breakfast and to take the chill off during the colder months, we have a gas fireplace in the dining room. And you'll love the warmth of our gas stove in the Parlor while you enjoy your morning coffee or watch your favorite movie.

BOARD GAMES – We have a selection of popular board games (checkers, chess, scrabble, trivial pursuit and others) for your use, as well as a variety of books and magazines to read.

AFTERNOON REFRESHMENTS - If you're like us, the most important part of any vacation is the food! While we're proud of our breakfast menu, we like to do a bit more. So in the afternoon when you're craving something sweet, on our upstairs server you'll find a plate of our yummy homemade (always!) cookies and a selection of hot and cold beverages. Enjoy!

COFFEE - Can't get started until you have that first cup of coffee? We've got you covered! Our locally-roasted and freshly-ground and brewed coffee is available on our upstairs server at 7:15 each morning. We also have a selection of hot teas, including herbal, decaf, and green.

BOTTLED WATER – Tap water (from a well) not your thing? You can enjoy crystal clear spring water (hot or cold) from the dispenser located at the top of the stairs.

WINE GLASSES, corkscrews and a champagne bucket are always available so that you can enjoy a bottle of your favorite local wine.

IN YOUR ROOM

PRIVATE BATHS - All of our rooms offer private, in-room (or en-suite) bathrooms featuring showers, each equipped with a soap, shampoo, and conditioner dispenser.

JETTED BATH TUB – In addition to a shower, the spacious Mornington Room bathroom also has a jetted tub to soothe those aching muscles after a day of hiking the Blue Ridge.

ROBES- We've provided two soft and plush robes in each room so you can sneak out to the hallway for an early cup of coffee or a late chocolate chip cookie.

LINENS - Our beds feature ironed 450+ thread count linens. And since we all have our sleeping preferences, extra pillows and blankets are available for each room.

AIR CONDITIONERS - It can get quite hot here during the summer months, so each of our guest rooms has a window air conditioner and ceiling fan to help you keep your room comfortably cool. We also provide space heaters for those of you who like it just a bit warmer in the winter months.

CD PLAYER - In addition to alarm clocks, you'll find a portable CD Player with AM/FM radio in each of our rooms. And if you happen to choose to stay in one of the three rooms on the Southern side of the house (Goodwin, Jefferson, and Shenandoah Rooms), you'll be able to enjoy the great variety of music and entertainment available on XM/Sirius Satellite radio.

HAIR DRYER - In each of your rooms we've included a portable hair dryer, so that's one less thing you'll need to pack.
